Staff Appreciation Banquet! The staff appreciation banquet was held at the American Legion on Monday, March 26. Special recognition and awards were given to those teachers retiring at the end of this school year--Mrs. Vicki Clevenger, kindergarten teacher, and Mrs. Julia Van Meter, media specialist. Other teachers recognized for their years of service to the district were:  Jim Andersen, Mary Anderson, Jay Blattner, Alisha Cudaback, and Mark McLaughlin--5 years; Amy Danielson, Joy Livingston, and Leon Stall--10 years; and Carolyn Reinertson--25 years. Congratulations and thank you for your years of service.

Musical Performances! Congratulations to the cast and crew on the fantastic performances of Annie! You did a wonderful job. Congratulations also to musical directors, Peg Sinnard and Brandy Tacha, on a job well done!

The GEF scholarship for graduating seniors has recently been added. The GEF continuing education scholarship application (for post graduates) can also be found at the bottom of the scholarship page.

Foundation "Gala"! The Gibbon Educational Foundation "Gala" will be held on Saturday, March 31, at the Gibbon American Legion. The evening will include a formal dinner, live auction, and silent auction. This fundraiser is being held to help fund scholarships for graduating seniors of Gibbon High and additional scholarships for continuing education. For more information contact Curt Mayo, GEF President, at 308-468-5694. Athletic Activities!  The next track meet is Friday, March 30, at the GICC Invite. The meet begins at 12:00 pm. The first golf meet is scheduled for Thursday, March 29. It is the Amherst Invitational, which is played at Prairie Hills golf course. Good Luck and Go Buffs!
